DaE-Ga Flow (C)
(dance yoga flow)
It all began with my first yoga class.
I had danced all of my life, thirty years of teaching, performing and choreographing , I was searching for something beyond the aesthetics of dance, don’t get me wrong I Love dance and I still do all of the above. But I wanted more.
I began practicing yoga several years ago,
Iyengar , vinyas ,hot yoga, Pilates and I loved them all. As I practiced more, I eventually became certified in Core Power Fusion.
Still not quite satisfied, I began to experiment with my own practice by bringing the element of dance, yoga and Pilates in a comprehensive fluid sequence, I thought “ How can I get my students to breathe, focus yet deepen their practice...while enjoying themselves at the same time?”...hence ,DaE-Ga Flow(C) was born, by giving students the tools and confidence to build their practice safely and efficiently in a supportive yet challenging environment.
I then brought this element of DaE-Ga Flow(C) into my classes and found my students responding to this enthusiastically.
By utilizing my knowledge of the body, alignment, breath, use of core, kinesteitcs and awareness (svadhyaya), I began sequencing the asanas to music( ie) choreography, I noticed significant changes in my students.....
They began to flow, effortlessly.
Music is the universal language which we all speak, it transcends all cultures and barriers, uniting us as one...in Body Mind and Spirit....
